Where are we going?

Up or down?

In 2003 October 27 edition of The Labradorian, it was reported that our province had the second largest debt per capita in the land, $8.3 billion. Only Quebecers had more.

This year of 2007 our debt is reported at $11.5 billion.

The, not so puzzling thing about it all is that the Williams government is handing out money hand-over-fist like there is no tomorrow.

Spending money we don't got, to get Danny elected again so that he can spend more money we don't got?

Who will pay and when? Us or our Children?

No wonder our citizens are Alberta bound. We are training them in our Universities and Colleges with our tax money so that they can go somewhere else in this country to work. Is that money well spent, or what?

Alberta must love the government of Newfoundland/Labrador for helping them with their shortage of trained workers. Maybe, if Danny asked the Alberta government they would send some money to our government to help in the training which could potentially help us get our huge debt under control. Try anything once, I suppose?

Check your facts, Alberta is attracting people from all over Canada to work in that province, not just Newfoundland and Labrador.

There is absolutely nothing the government of this province can do to prevent people from this province from working in Alberta, its patently silly to think otherwise. What the hell do you want the government to do, top up workers wages to match that which they would get in Alberta?

People like you need to use your head for more than a hat rack and get with the program.
